Lyrics
[Verse 1] Gracious Father we delight in finding new Light, And we thank the Lamb for this chance to correct a blight. With caution we sing about something that caused our Father much grief, But history is repeating so we sound the shofar and seek relief. [Chorus] Behold a woman across the river up on a hill, And behold her beauty and enchantments, But, beware of her lovers coming with swords to kill. Stay on this side with the Son and commandments to fulfill. [Verse 2] Naamah, the descendant of Cain, had knowledge and beauty, In her was music, the arts, medicines, tools, and everything needed for a city. But these gifts from Creator misused by 'sons of God,' produced folly. Herewith did the mighty and renowned cause pain instead of jolly. [Chorus] Behold a woman across the river up on a hill, And behold her beauty and enchantments, But, beware of her lovers coming with swords to kill. Stay on this side with the Son and commandments to fulfill. [Verse 3] Here's a mystery, Solomon also married a woman named 'Naamah,' And Solomon gained much earthly knowledge through the thick darkness. He also amassed riches and things that lead to spiritual blindness. Consequently, their fruit, 'Rehoboam' brought blight and divisiveness. [Bridge] Let us remember the stories that dance in the night, How beauty can shine but can also hide the inner-blight. With hearts now aligned, we seek only the truth, Stayed on the path of Light remaining like a youth. [Chorus] Behold a woman across the river up on a hill, And behold her beauty and enchantments, But, beware of her lovers coming with swords to kill. Stay on this side with the Son and commandments to fulfill. [Outro] So raise your voices, let the truth be known, As it was in the days of Noah, there shall be a choir of groan. Beware of Naamah’s beauty, that can lead our hearts astray, Choose the path of the Light, and forever walk in His way.
